Part 1 of a STAUNCH. Guide for mob to follow in the journey to taking down the colony.

The idea of founding a new country may seem like a daunting and ambitious undertaking, but throughout history, individuals and groups have successfully established their own nations. I recently started a website called GamilaroiTaxOffice.com to collect back taxes from mining companies and other organisations that have been utlising Gamilaroi land without the permission of the Gamilaroi Government. I’ll also be sending a request to the UN for aid as well as applying for some government bonds to kickstart our economic development. Progress! 

Build Infrastructure:

Cultural identity is a vital aspect of nation-building. Promote and preserve the unique cultural heritage of the new country. Encourage the celebration of traditions, languages, and customs that define the identity of the nation, fostering a sense of pride and unity among its citizens.

Picture this: A huge outdoor amphitheater built into the mountain side of the Warrumbungles ranges along with a state of the art cultural centre for the advancement of Gamilaroi cultural identity! We could have both local bands play and invite some of the biggest international acts. This plan also helps with our infrastructure and economic development. 

Founding a new country is an ambitious undertaking that requires careful planning, collaboration, and dedication. By following these practical steps, aspiring founders can navigate the complexities of nation-building, laying the foundation for a prosperous and sustainable future. While challenges may arise, the pursuit of a shared vision and commitment to the principles of justice, equality, and progress can contribute to the successful establishment of a new nation.

When I mentioned to my partner that I was thinking about writing this article, she said that it sounds like I’m being ridiculous on the internet again. She has good reason to come to that conclusion; I have done things like starting a podcast about a fictional paramilitary Aboriginal organisation that is planning to take over Australia by force (which spurred a small panic by some elderly white Facebook users).

Whilst this article was tongue in cheek in part 2 of this piece we’ll be taking a more practical and serious look at the steps that we would need to take to achieve internationally recognised Nations for mob.
